For this assignment in Illustration and Imaging, we were given a list of nine different professions ranging from the mundane (farmer, accountant) to the fantastic (mad scientist, psychic) and prompted to illustrate them in whatever way we chose. There were very few limitations for this project in terms of medium, size, or even whether it had to be one piece or nine separate pieces. Inspired by the inclusion of mad scientist and psychic as professions, I chose to put my own twist on it by interpreting the professions as if they were roles in a horror movie, with each set of three drawings telling their own self-contained story.
Inspirations included Halloween, When a Stranger Calls, An American Werewolf in London, The Shape of Water, and Courage the Cowardly Dog as well as the visual style of Hammer Horror.
